We order the food for the HAF sessions a week before so once that has been ordered we cannot allow parents to be able to cancel their sessions once this has happened

I understand it is frustrating when parents cancel with late notice. It’s important to understand that a cancellation is merely a notice of non-attendance. When a parent cancels they are letting you know the child is not coming. Obviously that is important for you to know the child is not coming and no one can force a child to attend.
With HAF bookings, we will let the council know how many bookings were cancelled and not rebooked by anyone else. So that they can pay you fairly for late cancellations.
If we prevented cancellations, this would not have the effect of better attendance, it would just mean that the place would definitely go to waste. It is far better to attempt to refill the place whereever possible.
To ensure that you can refill as many of your cancellations as possible, please ensure your waiting list is switched on.
